Loren Hazard-Daniel

Amy has been riding since the age of 5.  She was involved with pony club, fox hunting in Virginia and has shown at Frying Pan Park as a child.  Amy received her Horse Masters Certificate from Potomac Riding Center in 1973.  From there she went on to work for Russel Walter Sr and then started her own business.  She has her B.A. and M.A. from East Carolina University in English Literature and Music.  Amy has worked with top professionals in the equine industry - Harold Chopping, Greg Best, Ron Danta, Danny Robertshaw, George Morris, Anne Kursinski, Joe Fargis and Bernie Traurig.  Her students range from beginner to advanced and has taken students, ponies, and horses to the Pony finals, Harrisburg, Washington and the McClay finals.
Loren started riding at the age of 4 with her mother, Amy Hazard.  During her pony career she had numerous wins, including ribbons at Pony finals, multiple year end championships, and top pony equitation awards.  After moving to the horse ring she earned championships throughout her junior/amateur career including, winning the 2009 Bryan Jones Medal Finals, and reserve champion at WEF with a young investment horse in 2011.  After high school Loren attended University of North Carolina at Wilmington and graduated with a B.A. in foreign language.  During college she competed two summers abroad in Munster, Germany with Bernd Schulze-Tophoff and Juliana Zunde that has lead to the import of several top investment horses.  She qualified a young jumper for the Germany National Championship in Aachen.  She and her mother have taken her current horse from a young 5 year old prospect to the Grand Prixs.
